National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is inviting applications from talented and experienced professionals for various positions in the area of Alternate Islamic Banking. Below are the details of the available positions along with their requirements:

1. Unit Head – Transformation (OG-I / AVP)

• Reporting to: Wing Head – Product Development & Management
• Qualification: Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a recognized local or international university. Preference for candidates with a degree/certification in Islamic Banking.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience with at least 2 years in Islamic Banking.
• Skills/Expertise:
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Understanding of SBP instructions and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of AAOIFI standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Islamic Banking products and services.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct product development and conversion research.
• Develop new Islamic banking products and services.
• Monitor and revamp existing products and services.
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
• Provide training and support for new product launches.

2. Relationship Manager – Corporate (OG-I / AVP)

• Reporting to: Unit Head – North Lahore
• Qualification: Minimum Graduation from a recognized local or international university. Preference for candidates with a degree/certification in Islamic Banking.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of banking experience with at least 1 year as a Relationship Manager.
• Skills/Expertise:
  • Proficient in MS Office and databases.
  • Knowledge of Islamic banking.
  • Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage corporate portfolios.
• Introduce new corporate customers and maintain existing relationships.
• Develop business through structured products.
• Coordinate with various departments for compliance and risk management.

3. Product Officer (OG-III / OG-II)

• Reporting to: Unit Head
• Qualification: Minimum Graduation from a recognized local or international university. Preference for candidates with a degree/certification in Islamic Banking.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of working experience.
• Skills/Expertise:
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Understanding of SBP instructions and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of AAOIFI standards.
  • Understanding of Islamic Banking products and services.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in product development and conversion research.
• Monitor and revamp existing products and services.
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
• Provide feedback for product improvements.

4. Shariah Scholar (OG-III / OG-II)

• Reporting to: Wing Head – Product Development & Management
• Qualification: Shahadat ul Aalamiyah Degree or equivalent recognized by HEC.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a Shariah team of any Islamic financial institution.
• Skills/Expertise:
  • Understanding of Islamic finance and banking.
  • Knowledge of Fiqh methodologies.
  • Proficient in Arabic and MS Office Suite.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct Shariah research.
• Review products and services for Shariah compliance.
• Monitor Shariah related issues and provide advisory.
• Coordinate with various departments for compliance.
